Arcola
Arcola and Stone Ridge sit side by side in Dulles South. If you're in Arcola, this is very nearly a neighborhood daycare.
Arcola is a community in the Dulles South area of Loudoun County, immediately adjacent to Stone Ridge. The two run into each other along Route 50 and the Loudoun County Parkway corridor, which means the drive to the house is measured in minutes rather than in traffic decisions.
You will make this drive twice a day, roughly 250 days a year, in weather, in the dark, and sometimes with a sick child. A gym you can be ten minutes from. Childcare you want to be five from — and from Arcola, you are.
It also means the 6:30 am opening is genuinely usable. Plenty of Dulles South families need to be moving east on Route 50 or north on Route 28 early; a drop-off that adds five minutes rather than twenty-five is what makes that schedule survivable.
Arcola is Loudoun County, and so is the house. Anita is voluntarily registered with Loudoun County and CPR certified — the same jurisdiction you already live in, with no cross-county questions to think about.
