How it works
From your first message to your child's first day
Four steps, in the order Anita describes them. No waiting lists, no application fee, no pressure at any point.
-
Message, text or call
Use the form on this site, or call or text 202-430-8416 directly. Tell her your child's age, the days and hours you'd need, and anything you're wondering about. Anita reads it herself — there is no office in between.
-
A phone introduction
This is the step she asks for by name: "please message me if you'd like to set up a phone introduction." It's a conversation, not a screening. Bring your questions — she has said she'd love to answer all of them, and it's easier to ask some of them on the phone than standing in someone's hallway.
-
Come and see the house
In-home care is chosen in person. You come to Stone Ridge, meet GaGa, see where the children actually spend the day, and get a feel for whether your child would be happy there. Bring your child — how they are in the room tells you more than anything on this website.
-
Days, rates and a start date
Rates aren't posted here because they're settled per family, at the visit, once she knows your child's age and the days you need. There are three full-time places in total, so availability is simply a question of whether one is still open when you ask.
What we don't do
- No waiting-list games. Three places; either one is free or it isn't, and she'll tell you which.
- No pressure to decide on the day. Go home and think about it.
- No published price to anchor you. Ages and schedules differ, so the number is discussed rather than advertised.
