Questions

Questions parents ask

Short answers to what comes up most. Anything not here, ask her — "I'd love to talk with you and answer all your questions."

How many children do you care for?

Three, in total — not three per room. Anita takes three full-time children and no more, which is the reason she gives for doing it this way: "I'll have all the time in the world to spend with the children, as I'll have only three."

What ages do you take?

Six weeks through three years. Six weeks is the youngest she accepts.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Closed at weekends.

Do I need to pack meals?

No. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Anita also bakes homemade cookies, which she mentions before she mentions almost anything else.

Are you licensed?

Anita describes herself as voluntarily registered with Loudoun County and CPR certified. Voluntary registration is a step a provider chooses to take and is not the same as a state licence — she doesn't claim otherwise. Ask her about it directly at your visit.

Are there pets in the home? Does anyone smoke?

No to both. It is a smoke-free, pet-free home — usually the first question from a family managing asthma or allergies.

Where exactly are you?

42217 Terrazzo Terrace, Stone Ridge, VA 20105 — in Loudoun County, just off Route 50 near StoneSprings Hospital.

How much does it cost?

Rates aren't posted. They're settled per family at your visit, once Anita knows your child's age and which days you need. Ask her when you call.

Can I see the house before deciding?

Yes — she asks for it. A phone introduction comes first, then you're welcome to come and see the house and meet her in person before committing to anything.

Do you have references?

Yes. She offers references from families she has cared for previously. Take her up on it and actually call them.

How do I get started?

Message, text or call 202-430-8416. Anita will set up a phone introduction, answer your questions, and arrange a visit.
